Here are the options for cutting holes for bow thrusters:
Bi-metal blade: Great for cutting through wood, aluminum, and fiberglass boats. This style is NOT a long lasting blade. Great for one time use.
Carbide tip blade: Great for cutting through wood, aluminum, and fiberglass boats. This is a longer lasting blade. Rougher cutting.
Carbide grit blade: Great for cutting through fiberglass boats only. Very smooth cutting.
Brazed Heavy Insert: This is the best option for doing high production cutting on wood, aluminum, and fiberglass boats.
