Information on installing Bow Thrusters using a “Custom Holesaw Tech” hole saw.
First thing is to view this video of one of our customers using our hole saw to install bow thrusters.
Here are the options for cutting holes for bow thrusters:
Bi-metal blade: Great for cutting through wood, aluminum, and fiberglass boats. This style is NOT a long lasting blade. Great for one time use.
Carbide tip blade: Great for cutting through wood, aluminum, and fiberglass boats. This is a longer lasting blade. Rougher cutting.
Carbide grit blade: Great for cutting through fiberglass boats only. Very smooth cutting.
Brazed Heavy Insert: This is the best option for doing high production cutting on wood, aluminum, and fiberglass boats.
